Method

Pasta Preparation

  1. 1

    Cook the Pasta

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the imported pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

Bolognese Sauce Preparation

  1. 2

    Sauté the Vegetables

In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion, garlic, carrot, and celery. Sauté until the vegetables are softened, about 5-7 minutes.

  2. 3

    Cook the Ground Beef

Add the ground beef to the skillet. Cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spoon, about 10 minutes.

  3. 4

    Add Tomatoes and Seasoning

Stir in the crushed tomatoes, tomato paste, red wine, salt, black pepper, and dried oregano. Bring to a simmer and cook for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.

  4. 5

    Finish with Fresh Basil

Remove the sauce from heat and stir in the chopped fresh basil before serving.

Palmina Sauce Preparation

  1. 6

    Melt Butter and Sauté Garlic

In a saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter. Add minced garlic and sauté for about 1-2 minutes until fragrant.

  2. 7

    Add Cream and Cheese

Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer. Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese, salt, and black pepper. Cook for 5 minutes until sauce thickens slightly.

  3. 8

    Finish with Fresh Parsley

Remove from heat and stir in the chopped fresh parsley before serving.
