Method
Cooking the Pasta
- 1
Boil the Pasta
In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil. Add the imported pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente.
- 2
Drain the Pasta
Once cooked, drain the pasta and set aside, reserving a cup of pasta water.
Grilling the Chicken
- 3
Prepare the Chicken
Rub the chicken breasts with olive oil, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper.
- 4
Grill the Chicken
Preheat the grill to medium-high heat. Grill the chicken breasts for about 6-7 minutes on each side or until they reach an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C). Let them rest before slicing.
Making the Alfredo Sauce
- 5
Melt the Butter
In a large skillet over medium heat, melt the butter.
- 6
Add Cream and Garlic
Pour in the heavy cream and add minced garlic. Cook for 2-3 minutes until the mixture is heated through.
- 7
Add the Cheeses
Gradually stir in the Parmesan, mozzarella, fontina, and Gorgonzola cheeses until melted and smooth. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
Combining Ingredients
- 8
Combine Pasta and Sauce
Add the cooked pasta to the Alfredo sauce, tossing to combine. If the sauce is too thick, add reserved pasta water a little at a time until the desired consistency is reached.
- 9
Slice Chicken and Serve
Slice the grilled chicken and place it on top of the mac and cheese. Garnish with chopped parsley and extra Parmesan cheese before serving.
