Filet Mignon
Method
Cooking Instructions
- 1
Prepare the Steak
Remove the filet mignon from the refrigerator and let it sit at room temperature for 30 minutes to ensure even cooking.
- 2
- 3
Preheat the Grill
Preheat your char-broiler or grill to high heat, about 450°F to 500°F (232°C to 260°C).
- 4
Cook the Filet Mignon
Place the seasoned filet mignon on the grill and cook for 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or until the internal temperature reaches 130°F (54°C).
- 5
Add Fresh Rosemary
During the last minute of cooking, place a sprig of fresh rosemary on top of the steak for added flavor.
- 6
Rest the Steak
Once cooked, remove the filet mignon from the grill and let it rest on a plate for 5-10 minutes before slicing. This allows the juices to redistribute.
- 7
Serve
Slice the filet mignon and serve it with your choice of sides. Enjoy your perfectly char-broiled filet mignon!
