Omelet Ingredients

Method

Omelet Preparation

  1. 1

    Whisk the Eggs

In a mixing bowl, crack 4 large eggs. Add 2 tablespoons of milk, 1 teaspoon of salt, and 1 teaspoon of black pepper. Whisk together until the mixture is well combined and slightly frothy.

  2. 2

    Heat the Pan

Place a non-stick skillet over medium heat. Add 1 tablespoon of butter and allow it to melt, coating the bottom of the skillet evenly.

  3. 3

    Cook the Omelet

Pour the whisked egg mixture into the skillet. Let it cook undisturbed for about 2-3 minutes until the edges start to set.

  4. 4

    Add Toppings

As the omelet begins to set, add desired toppings evenly over one half of the omelet. You can use toppings like cheddar cheese, bell peppers, onions, spinach, mushrooms, tomatoes, crumbled bacon, and slices of avocado.

  5. 5

    Fold the Omelet

Once the toppings are added and the eggs are mostly set, gently fold the other half of the omelet over the toppings using a spatula.

  6. 6

    Finish Cooking

Allow the folded omelet to cook for an additional 1-2 minutes until the cheese is melted and the eggs are fully cooked.

  7. 7

    Serve

Carefully slide the omelet onto a plate. Serve hot with salsa on the side.
