Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Ground Sirloin

In a skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the ground sirloin and cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spatula. Season with salt and black pepper.

  2. 2

    Add Chile Sauce

Once the ground sirloin is cooked through, pour your choice of ranchera sauce or red/green chile sauce over the meat. Stir well to combine and let simmer for 3-5 minutes to heat through.

  3. 3

    Add Cheese

Sprinkle the shredded cheese on top of the meat and sauce mixture. Cover the skillet and let it cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

  4. 4

    Serve

Serve the Chile Con Queso Steak on a plate, alongside refried beans, cooked rice, and your choice of french fries or a baked potato.
