Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Steak

Season the cubed beef steak with salt and black pepper on both sides. Dredge each piece in all-purpose flour, coating them evenly.

  2. 2

    Cook the Steak

In a large skillet, heat 2 tablespoons of butter over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the breaded steak and cook for about 3-4 minutes on each side or until golden brown and cooked through. Remove from the skillet and keep warm.

  3. 3

    Make the Gravy

In the same skillet, reduce the heat to medium and add the country-style gravy or sauce of your choice. Stir well and let it simmer for a few minutes.

  4. 4

    Cook the Eggs

In another skillet, melt the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter over medium heat. Crack in the eggs and cook to your liking (sunny-side up, over-easy, etc.).

  5. 5

    Serve

On a plate, place the cooked steak, smother it with gravy, and serve alongside the eggs and toast.
