Cooking Instructions

1

Prepare the Steak

Remove the ribeye steaks from the refrigerator and let them come to room temperature for about 30 minutes. Pat them dry with a paper towel.

2

Season the Steak

Rub the steaks with olive oil, then season generously with salt, black pepper, minced garlic, chopped rosemary, and thyme on both sides.

3

Sear the Steaks

Heat a cast-iron skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the steaks and sear for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or until desired doneness is reached.

4

Prepare the Sauce

Remove the steaks from the skillet and let them rest on a plate. In the same skillet, add red wine and scrape up the browned bits from the bottom. Bring to a simmer and reduce for about 5 minutes.

5

Finish the Sauce

Stir in the unsalted butter until melted and combined. Adjust seasoning to taste.

6

Serve

Slice the steaks and serve topped with the red wine sauce.
