Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Steak

Remove the ribeye steak from the refrigerator and let it sit at room temperature for about 30 minutes to an hour. This helps the steak cook more evenly.

  2. 2

    Season the Steak

Rub both sides of the steak with olive oil, and season generously with salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. If using, place a sprig of fresh rosemary on top.

  3. 3

    Preheat the Grill

Preheat your grill to high heat, approximately 450-500°F (232-260°C).

  4. 4

    Grill the Steak

Place the ribeye steak on the grill and cook for about 4-5 minutes on one side without moving it. Flip it carefully and grill for another 4-5 minutes for medium-rare. Adjust the time if you prefer it more or less cooked.

  5. 5

    Rest the Steak

Once done, remove the steak from the grill and let it rest for about 5-10 minutes. This allows the juices to redistribute.

  6. 6

    Serve

Slice against the grain and serve immediately, garnished with additional herbs if desired.
