Method

Crust Preparation

  1. 1

    Make the Crust

In a large mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, unsalted butter, granulated sugar, egg yolks, and salt. Mix until the dough is crumbly and begins to hold together.

  2. 2

    Chill the Dough

Wrap the dough in plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.

Filling Preparation

  1. 3

    Prepare the Filling

In another mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs and granulated sugar until well combined. Gradually stir in the milk, vanilla extract, lemon zest, and ground cinnamon until smooth.

Baking

  1. 4

    Preheat Oven

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

  2. 5

    Roll Out the Dough

Once the dough is chilled, roll it out on a floured surface to fit your tart pan. Place the rolled dough in the pan and press it into the edges. Trim any excess dough.

  3. 6

    Add the Filling

Pour the egg mixture into the tart crust, spreading it evenly.

  4. 7

    Bake the Tarta

Bake in the preheated oven for 40-45 minutes or until the filling is set and the crust is lightly golden.

Finishing Touches

  1. 8

    Cool and Dust

Remove the tarta from the oven and allow it to cool completely. Once cooled, dust the top with powdered sugar and a sprinkle of cinnamon before serving.
