Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Ingredients

Start by slicing the chorizo into thick rounds. Rinse the swiss chard under cold water, then chop it roughly. Drain and rinse the canned white beans.

  2. 2

    Preheat the Grill

Preheat your grill to medium-high heat, around 200-230°C (400-450°F).

Cooking

  1. 3

    Grill the Chorizo

Place the sliced chorizo on the grill. Cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side until they are nicely charred and cooked through. Once done, remove from the grill and set aside.

  2. 4

    Sauté the Swiss Chard

In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant. Add the chopped swiss chard, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes. Cook for 3-4 minutes until the swiss chard is wilted.

  3. 5

    Add the Beans

Add the drained white beans to the skillet with the swiss chard. Stir gently and cook for another 2-3 minutes until heated through.

Serving

  1. 6

    Plate the Dish

Serve the sautéed swiss chard and white beans on a plate. Top with the grilled chorizo slices. Drizzle with fresh lemon juice to taste.
