Method
Marinating the Chicken
- 1
- 2
Marinate the Chicken
Place the chicken breasts in the marinade, ensuring they are well-coated. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, or up to 2 hours for more flavor.
Grilling the Chicken
- 3
Preheat the Grill
Preheat your grill to medium-high heat (about 375°F or 190°C).
- 4
Grill the Chicken
Remove the chicken breasts from the marinade and discard the marinade. Grill the chicken for 6-7 minutes per side, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).
- 5
Rest the Chicken
Once grilled, remove the chicken from the grill and let it rest for 5 minutes before slicing.
Assembling the Sandwich
- 6
Prepare the Vegetables
While the chicken is resting, wash and dry the romaine lettuce leaves. Slice the tomato into even rounds.
- 7
Assemble the Sandwich
On the bottom half of each burger bun, spread 1 tablespoon of mayonnaise. Place one lettuce leaf on top, followed by a slice of grilled chicken, and then a few slices of tomato. Top with the other half of the bun.
