Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Ingredients

Rinse and drain the canned white beans. Roughly chop the Swiss chard, separating the stems from the leaves. Mince the garlic cloves.

  2. 2

    Slice the Chorizo

Slice the chorizo sausage into bite-sized pieces.

Cooking

  1. 3

    Sauté Garlic and Chorizo

In a large skillet, heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant. Add the sliced chorizo and cook for 5-7 minutes until browned and crispy.

  2. 4

    Add Beans and Swiss Chard

Stir in the drained white beans and the chard stems into the skillet. Cook for another 3-4 minutes until the stems are tender. Then add the Swiss chard leaves and cook until wilted, about 2-3 minutes.

  3. 5

    Season the Dish

Sprinkle in the smoked paprika, and season with salt and black pepper to taste. Stir well to combine all ingredients.

  4. 6

    Finish and Serve

Drizzle the remaining tablespoon of olive oil over the dish and give it a final stir. Serve hot as a main course or a hearty side dish.
