Method
Cocktail
Prepare glass
If desired, chill a rocks glass or coupe by filling with ice and setting aside while you prepare the cocktail.
Build & shake
In a cocktail shaker filled halfway with ice, combine 2 oz strawberry-infused gin, 0.5 oz amaretto, 0.5 oz El Guapo orgeat, 0.5 oz fresh lime juice, 0.25 oz simple syrup (optional for extra sweetness), and 2 dashes Angostura bitters. Seal the shaker and shake vigorously for 12–15 seconds until well chilled and slightly diluted.
Strain
Double-strain the cocktail over the prepared ice (or into the coupe) using a Hawthorne and fine mesh strainer to remove small ice shards and any pulp from the lime or strawberry infusion.
Finish
Gently tap 1 tsp toasted almond slivers over the top so some sit on the surface and others fall into the glass. Add 2–3 drops of Angostura bitters on top of the foam/ surface if you like aromatic notes (optional).
Garnish
Garnish the cocktail with a sliced fresh strawberry or a strawberry fan on the rim, and optionally a mint sprig tucked alongside. Serve immediately.
