Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Shrimp

Peel and devein the tiger shrimp, leaving the tails intact. Rinse them under cold water and pat dry with paper towels.

  2. 2

    Chop Garlic and Parsley

Finely chop the garlic cloves and parsley, setting them aside for later use.

  3. 3

    Cook the Pasta

In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil. Add the spaghetti and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1 cup of the pasta water, then drain the rest and set aside.

Cooking

  1. 4

    Sauté Shrimp

In a large skillet, heat the olive oil and 2 tablespoons of butter over medium heat. Add the shrimp and season with salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes. Cook for about 2-3 minutes on each side until they turn pink and are cooked through. Remove the shrimp from the skillet and set aside.

  2. 5

    Make the Sauce

In the same skillet, add the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter and the chopped garlic. Sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant. Pour in the white wine and lemon juice, scraping any browned bits from the bottom of the skillet. Let it simmer for about 3-4 minutes until slightly reduced.

  3. 6

    Combine Shrimp and Pasta

Return the cooked shrimp to the skillet and add the drained spaghetti. Toss everything together, adding reserved pasta water a little at a time until you reach your desired sauce consistency. Stir in the chopped parsley before serving.
