Preparation
- 1
Muddle the Basil
In a sturdy glass or cocktail shaker, add the fresh basil leaves. Using a muddler or the back of a spoon, gently press the basil leaves to release their essential oils. Be careful not to tear them too much.
- 2
Combine Ingredients
Add the Puerto Rican rum, orangecello, and fresh lime juice to the glass with the muddled basil. Stir gently to combine the flavors.
- 3
Add Ice
Fill the glass with ice cubes, leaving enough room at the top for the soda water.
- 4
Top with Soda
Pour the soda water over the ice and mixed ingredients, filling the glass to the top. Stir gently to combine.
- 5
Garnish and Serve
If desired, garnish with an additional basil leaf or a lime wedge. Serve immediately on the rocks.
