Preparing the Fries
- 1
Bake the Fries
Preheat your oven to the temperature specified on the frozen French fries package. Spread the fries evenly on a baking sheet and drizzle with vegetable oil. Bake according to package instructions until crispy and golden.
Making the Cheese Sauce
- 2
Melt the Cheese
In a medium saucepan over low heat, combine cream cheese, shredded cheddar cheese, milk, and queso cheese. Stir continuously until the cheeses are melted and the mixture is smooth.
- 3
Season the Cheese Sauce
Add garlic powder, salt, and black pepper to the cheese mixture. Stir well to combine, then remove from heat.
Assembling the Loaded Cheese Fries
- 4
Top the Fries
Once the fries are done baking, remove them from the oven and place them on a serving platter. Pour the cheese sauce generously over the fries, making sure to cover them well.
- 5
Add Toppings
Sprinkle the crumbled bacon and chopped green onions over the cheese-covered fries. Serve immediately.
- 6
Serve with Dips
Place a side of sour cream and ranch dressing on the platter for dipping.
