Main Ingredients

Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Cook the Bacon

In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the bacon slices until crispy, about 5-7 minutes, flipping halfway through. Once cooked, transfer to a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess grease.

  2. 2

    Prepare the Toast

While the bacon is cooking, heat a separate skillet or griddle over medium heat. Place the Texas toast slices on the skillet and toast each side until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes per side.

  3. 3

    Slice the Tomato

Wash the large tomato and cut it into thick slices.

  4. 4

    Prepare the Lettuce

Wash and dry the lettuce leaves. Tear them into smaller pieces if necessary.

Assembly

  1. 5

    Spread the Mayo

Once the Texas toast is toasted, spread 1 tablespoon of mayonnaise on one side of each slice.

  2. 6

    Layer Ingredients

On one slice of the toasted Texas toast with mayo, layer the crispy bacon slices, followed by the lettuce, and then the tomato slices.

  3. 7

    Complete the Sandwich

Top with the other slice of Texas toast, mayo side down, to complete the sandwich.
