Method

Preparing the Steak

  1. 1

    Preheat the Grill

Preheat your grill or grill pan to high heat.

  2. 2

    Season the Steak

Rub the ribeye steaks with olive oil, minced garlic, chopped rosemary, salt, and black pepper on both sides.

  3. 3

    Grill the Steak

Place the steaks on the preheated grill and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or until they reach your desired doneness.

  4. 4

    Rest the Steak

Remove the steaks from the grill and let them rest for 5 minutes before slicing.

Preparing the French Fries

  1. 5

    Prepare the Potatoes

Wash and peel the russet potatoes. Cut them into thin strips (about 1/4 inch thick).

  2. 6

    Soak the Potatoes

Soak the potato strips in cold water for at least 30 minutes to remove excess starch. Drain and pat dry.

  3. 7

    Heat the Oil

In a large pot or deep fryer, heat the vegetable oil to 350°F (175°C).

  4. 8

    Fry the Potatoes

Carefully add the dried potato strips to the hot oil in batches and fry for about 5-6 minutes until golden brown and crispy. Remove and drain on paper towels.

  5. 9

    Season the Fries

While the fries are still hot, sprinkle with salt to taste.
