Prepare the Steak
Take the ribeye steaks out of the refrigerator and let them sit at room temperature for about 30 minutes prior to cooking.

Season the Steak
Pat the steaks dry with paper towels. Season both sides generously with salt and black pepper.

Heat the Pan
In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat until hot but not smoking.

Cook the Steak
Add the seasoned ribeye steaks to the pan. Cook for about 4-5 minutes on one side without moving them, until a nice crust forms.

Add Butter and Garlic
Flip the steaks and add butter, crushed garlic cloves, and rosemary to the pan. Baste the steaks with the melted butter for another 4-5 minutes for medium-rare.

Rest the Steak
Remove the steaks from the pan and let them rest for about 5 minutes before serving.

In the last 5 minutes of boiling, add the garlic cloves to the pot with the potatoes.
