Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Pork Chops

Remove the Kurobuta pork chops from the refrigerator and allow them to come to room temperature for about 30 minutes.

  2. 2

    Season the Pork

Rub the pork chops with olive oil, then season generously with salt, black pepper, and garlic powder on both sides. Sprinkle fresh rosemary over the tops.

Cooking

  1. 3

    Heat the Pan

In a large skillet, heat over medium-high heat. Add 1 tablespoon of olive oil and allow it to heat until shimmering.

  2. 4

    Sear the Pork Chops

Carefully place the seasoned pork chops in the hot skillet. Sear for about 4-5 minutes on one side until golden brown.

  3. 5

    Flip and Add Butter

Flip the pork chops and add the butter to the skillet. Cook for another 4-5 minutes, basting the chops with the melted butter and cooking until they reach an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C).

  4. 6

    Rest the Pork Chops

Once cooked, transfer the pork chops to a plate and cover loosely with foil to rest for 5 minutes.

Serving

  1. 7

    Plate and Garnish

Serve the pork chops on plates, garnished with fresh parsley and lemon wedges on the side.
