Oysters

Garlic Butter

Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Garlic Butter

In a small saucepan, melt the unsalted butter over low heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for about 1-2 minutes until fragrant, but not browned.

  2. 2

    Mix in Additional Ingredients

Remove the saucepan from heat and stir in chopped parsley, lemon juice, salt, and black pepper. Set aside to cool slightly.

  3. 3

    Clean the Oysters

Rinse the fresh oysters under cold water to remove any sand or debris. Scrub the shells with a brush if necessary.

Grilling

  1. 4

    Preheat the Grill

Preheat your grill to medium-high heat (about 400°F or 200°C).

  2. 5

    Place Oysters on the Grill

Carefully place the cleaned oysters on the grill, cup side down. This helps to retain their juices.

  3. 6

    Add Garlic Butter

Spoon a generous amount of garlic butter over each oyster.

  4. 7

    Grill the Oysters

Close the grill lid and cook for about 5-7 minutes, or until the oysters are fully cooked and the edges begin to curl.

  5. 8

    Serve

Remove the oysters from the grill using tongs. Serve hot, garnished with extra parsley if desired.
