Cocktail

1

Prepare glass

Chill a highball or Collins glass in the freezer for a few minutes or fill with ice water while you prepare the cocktail. When ready, discard the ice water if used.

2

Measure and combine base spirits

In a cocktail shaker or mixing glass, add 2 oz Seedlip Garden and 0.5 oz Pentire Coastal Botanical.

3

Add citrus and cordial

Add 1 oz freshly squeezed lime juice and 0.75 oz orange blossom-lime cordial to the shaker. If you prefer a sweeter drink, add 0.25 oz simple syrup now.

4

Add ice and shake

Fill the shaker with ice (enough to come about three-quarters up). Shake vigorously for 10–12 seconds until the shaker is cold to the touch and the mixture is well chilled.

5

Strain over fresh ice

Dump the chilled water/ice from your serving glass if used. Add fresh ice cubes to the glass, then double-strain the shaken mixture into the glass using a fine strainer (or single strain if you prefer a slightly more textured drink).

6

Top with soda

Gently top the cocktail with 1.5 oz cold sparkling water or soda to bring brightness and a light lift. Stir once gently with a bar spoon to integrate without losing carbonation.

7

Garnish and serve

Garnish with a lime wheel or wedge on the rim and a small sprig of fresh mint (or other edible herb) tucked into the ice. Serve immediately.
