Cocktail

Method

Cocktail

1

Chill glass

Place a coupe or martini glass in the freezer for 5–10 minutes or fill it with ice water while you prepare the cocktail to chill it.

2

Combine ingredients

In a cocktail shaker, add ice (about 1 cup), 2 oz Lillet Rosé, 1.5 oz Tito's vodka, 0.75 oz St. Germain, 0.5 oz fresh lemon juice, 0.25 oz simple syrup, and 2 dashes orange bitters.

3

Shake

Secure the shaker and shake vigorously for 12–15 seconds until the outside of the shaker is very cold and the mixture is well diluted and aerated.

4

Prepare glass

If you chilled the glass with ice water, dump the ice water out now. Optionally, run a lemon peel around the rim for extra aroma.

5

Strain

Double-strain the cocktail through a Hawthorne strainer and a fine mesh strainer into the chilled coupe or martini glass to remove ice shards and any pulp.

Garnish & Finish

6

Express the oils from the lemon twist over the surface of the cocktail by holding the twist with the peel facing down and giving it a quick squeeze, then drop the twist into the drink or float a thin lemon wheel on top.

7

Optionally, finish with a single edible flower petal on the surface for an elegant look. Serve immediately.
