A twist on the classic cocktail, featuring 30 hops.

In a bowl, combine the ground beef with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Mix until just combined, being careful not to overwork the meat.

Prepare the Patties

Divide the mixture into four equal portions and shape each portion into a patty about 3/4 inch thick.

Form the Patties

Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium doneness, or until they reach your desired level of doneness.

If using cheese, place a slice on each patty during the last minute of cooking and cover until melted.

Add Cheese (Optional)

While the patties are cooking, cut the burger buns in half and toast them on the grill or in a toaster until golden brown.

Toast the Buns

Place a cooked patty on the bottom half of each toasted bun. Top with lettuce, tomato slices, ketchup, mustard, and pickles as desired. Place the top half of the bun on top.

Serve the burgers immediately with your favorite sides.

In a small saucepan, combine equal parts water and sugar, and add 30 pieces of hops. Bring to a simmer and stir until the sugar dissolves. Let it steep for 30 minutes, then strain out the hops and let it cool.

Prepare Hops Syrup

In a mixing glass, combine 2 oz of bourbon, 1 oz of hops syrup, and 2 dashes of Angostura bitters. Add ice cubes and stir well until chilled.

Mix the Cocktail

Strain the mixture into a rocks glass filled with ice. Garnish with a piece of orange peel and a maraschino cherry.
