Method

Preparation of Salmon

  1. 1

    Dice the Salmon

Using a sharp knife, carefully remove the skin from the fresh salmon fillet. Dice the salmon into small cubes (about 1/2 inch) and place it in a mixing bowl.

  2. 2

    Season the Salmon

Add salt and black pepper to the diced salmon. Gently mix to combine and let it marinate for about 10 minutes.

Preparation of Avocado and Cucumber

  1. 3

    Prepare the Avocado

Cut the ripe avocado in half, remove the pit, and scoop the flesh out with a spoon. Dice the avocado into small cubes and set aside.

  2. 4

    Prepare the Cucumber

Peel the cucumber if desired, then slice it in half lengthwise and remove the seeds. Dice the cucumber into small cubes.

Making Spicy Mayo

  1. 5

    Mix Spicy Mayo

In a small bowl, combine the mayonnaise, Sriracha sauce, and lime juice. Stir until well mixed and set aside.

Assembling the Tartare

  1. 6

    Combine Ingredients

In the bowl with the seasoned salmon, gently fold in the diced avocado, cucumber, and chopped green onions until just combined.

  2. 7

    Serve

Plate the salmon tartare mixture and drizzle the spicy mayo on top. Serve immediately as an appetizer or light meal.
