Salad Base

Caesar Dressing

Method

Salad Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Romaine Lettuce

Wash the romaine lettuce thoroughly under cold running water. Remove any wilted or damaged leaves. Pat the lettuce dry with a clean kitchen towel or use a salad spinner to remove excess moisture. Chop the lettuce into bite-sized pieces and place it in a large salad bowl.

  2. 2

    Add the Croutons

Sprinkle the croutons evenly over the chopped romaine lettuce in the salad bowl. This will add a nice crunch to your salad.

Dressing Preparation

  1. 3

    Make the Caesar Dressing

In a medium-sized mixing bowl, combine the mayonnaise, grated Parmesan cheese, minced garlic, lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and black pepper. Whisk together until smooth and well blended. Taste the dressing and adjust seasoning if necessary, adding more salt or pepper to taste.

Assembly

  1. 4

    Combine Salad and Dressing

Pour the prepared Caesar dressing over the romaine lettuce and croutons in the salad bowl. Toss the salad gently with salad tongs or large spoons until the lettuce and croutons are evenly coated with the dressing.

  2. 5

    Serve

Serve the Caesar salad immediately on chilled plates or in bowls. Optionally, you can garnish with additional grated Parmesan cheese and freshly cracked black pepper before serving.
