Method

Preparation of Topping

  1. 1

    Prepare the Tomatoes

Wash the tomatoes, then dice them into small pieces and place them in a mixing bowl.

  2. 2

    Add Flavor

Finely chop the garlic and add it to the bowl with the diced tomatoes. Tear the basil leaves and add them to the mixture.

  3. 3

    Season the Mixture

Sprinkle salt and black pepper over the tomato mixture and gently toss to combine all ingredients. Set aside to allow flavors to meld.

Preparation of Bread

  1. 4

    Slice the Bread

Slice the baguette into 1/2-inch thick slices.

  2. 5

    Toast the Bread

Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Arrange the sliced baguette on a baking sheet and brush both sides with olive oil. Toast in the oven for about 10-12 minutes until golden brown and crispy.

Assembly

  1. 6

    Top the Bread

Once the bread is toasted, remove it from the oven and let cool slightly. Spoon the tomato mixture generously on each slice of toasted bread.

  2. 7

    Drizzle with Balsamic Reduction

Finish by drizzling balsamic reduction over the topped bread.

  3. 8

    Serve

Serve immediately as an appetizer or snack, and enjoy!
