Ingredients

Aperol Spritz (per serving)

Optional (per serving)

Preparation

Aperol Spritz Assembly

1. Chill glass

If possible, chill a large wine or stemmed glass in the freezer for 5–10 minutes beforehand to keep the drink colder longer.

2. Add ice

Fill the chilled glass generously with ice cubes so the liquid will stay cold and the proportions will remain stable as the ice melts.

3. Measure Aperol

Pour 3 parts Aperol over the ice. For a typical single serving, that is about 3 ounces (90 ml) if using ounces — use consistent measuring (parts can be 1 oz per part or any other consistent measure).

4. Add Prosecco

Slowly pour 2 parts chilled Prosecco into the glass. Pour gently so you preserve bubbles and avoid excessive foaming.

5. Top with soda

Add 1 part chilled soda water (club soda) to the top. Adjust slightly to taste if you prefer a fizzier or lighter drink.

6. Stir gently

Give the drink one or two gentle stirs using a bar spoon (or a long spoon) to combine the ingredients without flattening the Prosecco's bubbles.

7. Garnish and serve

Garnish with one fresh orange slice on the rim or dropped into the drink. Optionally add an orange twist, a green olive, or a sprig of rosemary for a different aroma. Serve immediately.
