Cocktail
Chill glass
Place a coupe or rocks glass in the freezer or fill it with ice and cold water while you prepare the cocktail to chill it.
Measure and combine
Add 1 oz London dry gin, 1 oz Cinzano Rosso (sweet vermouth), and 1 oz Campari into a mixing glass or cocktail shaker.
Prepare glass
If you chilled the serving glass with ice and water, discard the ice water and dry the glass.
Strain and garnish
Using a julep or Hawthorne strainer, strain the cocktail from the mixing glass into the chilled coupe or rocks glass. Express the oils of one orange peel over the drink by holding the peel skin-side down about 2–3 inches above the surface and giving it a firm twist, then rub the peel around the rim and drop it into the drink as garnish.
Serve immediately and enjoy. This Classic (Negroni-style) cocktail is balanced 1:1:1 and designed for one serving.
