Bread Pudding
Method
Preparation
Prepare the Cinnamon Rolls
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Cut the cinnamon rolls into bite-sized pieces and place them in a greased 9x13 inch baking dish.
Make the Custard Mixture
In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, heavy cream, sugar, ground cinnamon, vanilla extract, and salt until well combined.
Combine and Soak
Pour the custard mixture over the cinnamon roll pieces in the baking dish. Press down gently to ensure all the pieces are soaked. Let it sit for about 15 minutes to absorb the custard.
Bake
Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the custard is set.
Prepare the Corn Flake Topping
While the bread pudding is baking, melt 1/4 cup of butter. Mix in 2 cups of crushed corn flakes. Once the bread pudding is done, sprinkle the corn flake mixture over the top and return to the oven for an additional 10 minutes.
Serve with Caramel Sauce
Remove from oven and let cool slightly. Serve warm drizzled with warm caramel sauce.
