Preparation Steps

1

Prepare the Schnitzel

Season the pork schnitzel with salt and pepper on both sides. Dredge each piece in flour, dip in beaten eggs, and coat with breadcrumbs.

2

Fry the Schnitzel

In a large skillet, heat vegetable oil over medium heat. Fry the schnitzels until golden brown and cooked through, about 4-5 minutes per side. Remove and keep warm.

3

Cook the Onions and Mushrooms

In the same skillet, add butter and sauté the sliced onions until translucent. Add the sliced mushrooms and cook until browned.

4

Make the Gravy

Pour in the beef broth, soy sauce, and Worcestershire sauce. Bring to a simmer. In a small bowl, mix cornstarch and water to form a slurry. Add this to the skillet to thicken the gravy, stirring continuously.

5

Serve

Place the schnitzels on plates and generously pour the mushroom gravy over the top. Serve hot.
