Cooking Instructions
Cook the Pasta
In a large pot of salted boiling water, cook the papardelle according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
Prepare the Sauce
In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute. Stir in Calabrian peppers and crushed red pepper flakes, cooking for an additional minute.
Add Tomatoes
Pour in the canned crushed tomatoes, stirring to combine. Simmer for about 10 minutes, allowing the sauce to thicken slightly. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
Cook Shrimp and Mussels
Add the shrimp and mussels to the sauce, cover the skillet, and cook for about 5-7 minutes, or until the shrimp is pink and the mussels have opened.
Combine with Pasta
Add the cooked papardelle and fresh basil to the skillet. Toss everything together until the pasta is well coated with the sauce. Adjust seasoning if necessary.
Serve
Serve hot, garnished with additional basil if desired.
