Preparation Steps

1

Prepare the Cranberry Mixture

In a medium saucepan, combine the fresh cranberries and water. Bring to a boil over medium heat, then reduce the heat to low and simmer for about 10 minutes, or until the cranberries have burst and softened.

2

Blend the Mixture

Remove the saucepan from heat and let it cool slightly. Transfer the cranberry mixture to a blender or food processor, add the organic agave nectar and lemon juice, and blend until smooth.

3

Strain the Mixture

Optional: If you prefer a smoother sorbet, strain the mixture through a fine-mesh sieve to remove the skins and seeds. Press down with a spatula to extract as much liquid as possible.

4

Freeze the Mixture

Pour the cranberry mixture into an ice cream maker and churn according to the manufacturer's instructions until it reaches a soft-serve consistency. If you don't have an ice cream maker, pour the mixture into a shallow dish and freeze for about 4-6 hours, stirring every 30 minutes to break up ice crystals.

5

Serve

Scoop the sorbet into bowls and garnish with fresh berries before serving.
