In a large kettle, combine the malted barley and corn with 1000 ml of water. Heat the mixture to 65°C (149°F) and maintain this temperature for 60 minutes to allow the starches to convert to sugars.

Mashing

After mashing, separate the liquid wort from the solid grains. Sparge with additional water to extract as much sugar as possible.

Lautering

Bring the wort to a boil and add the hops. Boil for 60 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Boiling

After boiling, cool the wort quickly using a wort chiller or an ice bath until it reaches about 20°C (68°F).

Cooling

Transfer the cooled wort to a fermentation vessel, add the yeast, and seal with an airlock. Allow to ferment for about 7-10 days at a consistent temperature.

Fermentation

Once fermentation is complete, transfer the beer to bottles, adding a small amount of sugar for carbonation. Seal the bottles and let them condition for another 1-2 weeks.

Bottling

Chill the bottles in the refrigerator and enjoy your homemade Coors Light!
