Fit Turkey Wrap

Heat 5 gallons of water to 160°F (71°C). Add the pale malt and caramel malt, stirring well. Maintain the temperature for 60 minutes.

Mashing

After mashing, sparge the grains with enough hot water to collect 6 gallons of wort.

Sparging

Bring the wort to a boil. Add Cascade hops at the beginning of the boil and Hallertau hops with 15 minutes left in the boil. Boil for a total of 60 minutes.

Boiling

Cool the wort down to around 70°F (21°C) using a wort chiller or an ice bath.

Cooling

Transfer the cooled wort to a sanitized fermenter. Pitch the lager yeast and seal with an airlock. Ferment at 50-55°F (10-13°C) for 2 weeks.

Fermentation

After fermentation, transfer the beer to a keg or bottles, adding priming sugar if bottling. Carbonate at room temperature for another 2 weeks.

Carbonation
