Add 60 ml mezcal to a cocktail shaker.
Add 22 ml fresh lime juice to the shaker.
Stir in 22 ml agave nectar to balance the smokiness.
Pour in 15 ml orange liqueur to introduce citrusy sweetness.
Fill the shaker with 1 cup ice cubes and shake vigorously for about 15 seconds until thoroughly chilled.
Strain into a chilled glass and, if desired, garnish with a lime wheel.
