1

Chill the beer

Place the Pacifico bottle or can in the refrigerator for at least 2–4 hours prior to serving. If you need it immediately, submerge in an ice-and-water bath for 10–15 minutes or roll in an ice-filled cooler for 5–10 minutes until cold.

2

Prepare glass (optional)

If you prefer your Pacifico served in a glass with a seasoned rim, rub a lime wedge around the rim of a pint or lager glass. Dip the rim into a small plate of Tajín or coarse sea salt to coat. This step is optional but traditional for a more festive presentation.

3

Add ice (optional)

Fill the glass halfway with small ice cubes if you like your beer extra cold and slightly diluted. Note: adding ice will change the mouthfeel and slightly reduce carbonation; many purists prefer the beer served without ice.

4

Pour the beer

Open the chilled Pacifico. Tilt the prepared glass at about a 45° angle and pour the beer gently down the side to avoid excessive foam. Straighten the glass as it fills to create a 1/2–1 inch head (foam) on top.

5

Finish with lime

Squeeze the lime wedge over the beer to release a small amount of juice (about 1/2 tablespoon) and drop the wedge into the glass or serve alongside. If you used a Tajín rim, a light squeeze will enhance the seasoned flavor.

6

Serve

Serve immediately while cold. Provide an extra lime wedge and a napkin for guests. If using a bottle or can, you can also serve it straight in the bottle/can with the lime wedge placed on the opening.
