Prepare Ingredients
Juicing
Using a juicer (preferred for clarity)
Feed the oranges, grapefruit, apple pieces, and carrots through the juicer according to the manufacturer's directions. Alternate soft fruits and firmer pieces to help extraction. Collect juice in a pitcher. If the juice is too thick or intense, stir in up to 1 cup cold water or coconut water to reach desired consistency.
Using a blender (if no juicer)
Place fruit and carrot pieces in the blender with 1/2 to 1 cup cold water or coconut water (start with 1/2 cup). Blend on high until smooth, 45–60 seconds. Pour blended mixture through a fine mesh strainer or nut milk bag into a pitcher, pressing or squeezing to extract as much liquid as possible. Discard or reserve pulp for another use.
Taste & Adjust
Taste the juice. If you prefer it sweeter, stir in honey or agave 1 tsp at a time until desired sweetness is reached (up to 1 tablespoon). If the juice is too tart or strong, add more cold water/coconut water a few tablespoons at a time.
Serve
Fill serving glasses with ice cubes if desired. Pour the juice over ice. Garnish each glass with a sprig of fresh mint or a thin slice of citrus on the rim.
Serve immediately for best flavor and nutrient retention. Refrigerate any leftover juice in a sealed container and consume within 24–48 hours.
