Prepare the Ingredients
Gather all ingredients and place them on a clean work surface.

Butter the Bread
Spread butter on one side of each slice of rye bread. This will help achieve a golden, crispy exterior when grilled.
Assembling the Sandwich

Layer the Ingredients
On the unbuttered side of two slices of rye bread, layer corned beef, Swiss cheese, and sauerkraut. Drizzle with Thousand Island dressing.

Top the Sandwich
Place another slice of rye bread on top of each sandwich, buttered side facing out.

Flip the Sandwich
Carefully flip the sandwich using a spatula and grill the other side for an additional 4-5 minutes until golden and the cheese has melted.
Serving

Slice and Serve
Once the sandwich is grilled to perfection, remove from the skillet, slice in half, and serve with extra Thousand Island dressing on the side.
