Fried Chicken

Prepare the Chicken
In a bowl, mix together the buttermilk, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika. Add the chicken pieces, cover, and marinate in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour.

Coat the Chicken
In a separate bowl, add the flour. Remove chicken from marinade and coat each piece in the flour, shaking off excess.

Fry the Chicken
Heat oil in a large skillet or deep fryer over medium-high heat. Once hot, carefully add the chicken pieces and fry for about 15-20 minutes, turning occasionally until golden brown and cooked through. Remove and drain on paper towels.

Make the Gravy
In a saucepan, whisk together flour and chicken broth over medium heat. Stir until thickened. Add soy sauce for flavor. Adjust seasoning with salt and pepper.

Cook the Green Beans
Add the green beans to the skillet and cook for about 5-7 minutes, until tender. Stir in the bacon pieces and season with salt and pepper.

Prepare the Salad
In a large bowl, combine corn, cherry tomatoes, cucumber, and red onion.

Dress the Salad
Drizzle olive oil and lemon juice over the salad. Season with salt and pepper. Toss gently to combine.
Rolls with Butter

Warm the dinner rolls in the oven or microwave until heated through. Slice open and spread with softened butter.
