Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Juicing the Fruits

Begin by washing all the fruits thoroughly to remove any dirt or pesticides. Cut the oranges in half and juice them using a citrus juicer. Collect the juice in a large bowl.

  2. 2

    Preparing Tomatoes

Wash the tomatoes and cut them into quarters. If you prefer a smoother juice, you can peel the tomatoes, but this is optional. Place the tomato quarters into a blender.

  3. 3

    Preparing Cranberries

If using fresh cranberries, rinse them under running water. If using dried cranberries, soak them in warm water for 10 minutes to rehydrate. Add the cranberries to the blender with the tomatoes.

  4. 4

    Preparing Apples

Wash the apples, remove the core, and cut them into quarters. Add the apple pieces to the blender with the tomatoes and cranberries.

Juicing Process

  1. 5

    Blending the Ingredients

Blend the tomatoes, cranberries, and apples together until smooth. If the mixture is too thick, you may add a little water to help with the blending process.

  2. 6

    Straining the Juice

Once blended, use a fine mesh strainer or cheesecloth to strain the mixture into another bowl or a pitcher. Press down with a spoon to extract as much juice as possible, discarding the pulp.

  3. 7

    Mixing the Juices

Combine the freshly strained tomato, cranberry, and apple juice with the orange juice in the pitcher. Stir well to mix all the juices together.

  4. 8

    Sweetening (Optional)

Taste the juice and adjust sweetness if desired by adding honey or sugar. Stir until fully dissolved.

Serving

  1. 9

    Chill and Serve

Refrigerate the juice for at least 30 minutes before serving to allow it to chill. Serve the juice over ice in tall glasses, garnished with a slice of orange or apple if desired.
