Chicken Marinade
Bun and Toppings
Method
Marinating the Chicken
- 1
Prepare the Marinade
In a large bowl, mix together olive oil, lemon juice, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper until well combined.
- 2
Marinate the Chicken
Add the chicken breasts to the marinade, making sure they are fully coated. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, or up to 2 hours for better flavor.
Grilling the Chicken
- 3
Preheat the Grill
Preheat your grill to medium-high heat (about 375°F to 450°F).
- 4
Grill the Chicken
Remove the chicken from the marinade and discard the marinade. Place the chicken breasts on the grill and cook for 6-7 minutes on each side, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F.
- 5
Rest the Chicken
Once cooked, remove the chicken from the grill and let it rest for 5 minutes before slicing.
Assembling the Sandwich
- 6
Toast the Buns (Optional)
If desired, toast the burger buns on the grill for about 1-2 minutes until lightly browned.
- 7
Assemble the Sandwich
Spread mayonnaise on the bottom half of each bun, then layer with lettuce, grilled chicken, tomato slices, and sliced pickles. Place the top half of the bun to close the sandwich.
