Chicken Tenders
Dipping Sauce Options
Method
Preparation of Chicken Tenders
- 1
Prepare the Chicken
Cut the chicken breasts into strips, about 1 inch wide. This will create the tenders.
- 2
- 3
Bread the Chicken
Dip each chicken strip first into the flour, then into the egg, and finally coat it with the breadcrumb mixture. Place the breaded tenders on a plate.
Cooking the Chicken Tenders
- 4
Heat the Oil
In a large frying pan, heat the oil over medium heat. Ensure the oil is hot enough by testing with a small piece of bread; it should sizzle when dropped in.
- 5
Fry the Chicken Tenders
Carefully add the breaded chicken tenders to the hot oil. Fry in batches if necessary, making sure not to overcrowd the pan. Cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and cooked through.
- 6
Drain the Tenders
Once cooked, remove the tenders from the oil and place them on a plate lined with paper towels to drain excess oil.
Serving with Dipping Sauce
- 7
Prepare Dipping Sauces
In small bowls, serve your choice of dipping sauces: ketchup, honey mustard, or ranch dressing.
- 8
Serve
Arrange the fried chicken tenders on a serving platter and serve with the prepared dipping sauces.
