Dumpling Dough
Method
Dumpling Preparation
- 1
Make the Dough
In a large bowl, mix the flour and salt. Gradually add water and knead until the dough is smooth. Cover with a damp cloth and let it rest for 30 minutes.
- 2
Prepare the Filling
In a mixing bowl, combine ground pork, chopped green onions, minced garlic, soy sauce, sesame oil, and chopped cabbage. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly incorporated.
- 3
Form the Dumplings
Divide the dough into small balls. Roll each ball into a circle about 3 inches in diameter. Place a spoonful of filling in the center and fold the dough over to create a half-moon shape. Pinch the edges to seal.
- 4
Cook the Dumplings
Boil water in a large pot. Carefully add dumplings and cook for about 6-8 minutes or until they float to the top. Alternatively, you can steam them for 10 minutes.
- 5
Serve
Remove dumplings from water, serve hot with soy sauce or your preferred dipping sauce.
