Scoops (per serving, kids)

Method

Scoops (assembly)

1

Chill and prepare

Remove the ice cream from the freezer about 2–5 minutes before scooping so it softens slightly. If using a waffle cone, place the cone upright in a cup or holder to keep it steady. If using a dish, choose a small dessert bowl.

2

Scoop ice cream

Use a slightly warmed ice cream scoop (run under hot water and wipe dry) to form neat scoops. Place one scoop of vanilla ice cream into the cone or dish, then place one scoop of chocolate ice cream beside or slightly on top of the vanilla. (If a third flavor is desired, add an additional scoop β€” the ingredient list lists strawberry as optional; adjust accordingly.)

3

Add free topping

Choose one free topping: drizzle 1 tablespoon of chocolate or caramel syrup over the scoops, or sprinkle about 1 tablespoon of rainbow sprinkles, or spoon 1–2 tablespoons of fruit sauce over the ice cream. Ensure the topping covers the scoops evenly.

4

Finish (optional)

If desired, add 1 tablespoon of whipped cream on top and place a maraschino cherry in the center. If serving in a cone, serve immediately to avoid melting; if serving in a dish, you may return briefly to the freezer for 5 minutes to firm if needed.

5

Serve

Serve immediately to the child with a small napkin or spoon. Provide any extra napkins for sticky fingers.
