Mushroom Ketchup

Method

Steak Preparation

1

Season the Ribeye

Generously season both sides of the ribeye steaks with salt and black pepper.

2

Heat the Pan

In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat until hot.

3

Cook the Steak

Add the ribeye steaks to the pan and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or until desired doneness.

4

Rest the Steak

Remove the steaks from the pan and let them rest for 5 minutes before slicing.

Mushroom Ketchup Preparation

5

Cook the Mushrooms

In a small saucepan, add the finely chopped mushrooms and cook over medium heat until they release their moisture and start to brown.

6

Add Sauce Ingredients

Stir in soy sauce, balsamic vinegar, and brown sugar. Cook for an additional 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Fries Preparation

7

Prepare the Potatoes

Rinse and cut the potatoes into fry shapes. Soak them in water for at least 30 minutes to remove excess starch.

8

Heat the Oil

In a large pot, heat vegetable oil to 350°F (175°C).

9

Fry the Potatoes

Fry the potatoes in batches until golden brown and crispy, about 5-7 minutes. Remove and drain on paper towels.

10

Season the Fries

Sprinkle with salt immediately after frying.
