Method

Preparation of Base Ingredients

  1. 1

    Whisk the Eggs

In a mixing bowl, crack 2 large eggs. Add 2 tablespoons of milk, 1 teaspoon of salt, and 1 teaspoon of black pepper. Whisk until the mixture is well combined and slightly frothy.

Cooking the Omelet

  1. 2

    Heat the Pan

Place a non-stick skillet over medium heat and let it warm up for about 1 minute.

  2. 3

    Add the Egg Mixture

Pour the whisked egg mixture into the skillet and let it cook undisturbed for about 2 minutes or until the edges start to set.

  3. 4

    Add Fillings

Once the edges are set, sprinkle your choice of fillings (cheese, vegetables, protein) evenly over one half of the omelet. Use about 1/4 cup of each filling.

  4. 5

    Fold the Omelet

Using a spatula, gently fold the other half of the omelet over the fillings. Cook for an additional 1-2 minutes until the cheese is melted and the omelet is cooked through.

  5. 6

    Transfer and Serve

Slide the omelet onto a plate. Top with chopped chives and hot sauce to taste. Serve immediately.
