For the Korean Style Baby Back Ribs

For the Asian Slaw

Method

For the Korean Style Baby Back Ribs

  1. 1

    Prepare the Marinade

In a medium bowl, mix together soy sauce, brown sugar, honey, gochujang, rice vinegar, minced garlic, grated ginger, sesame oil, and black pepper until well combined.

  2. 2

    Marinate the Ribs

Place the baby back ribs in a large resealable plastic bag or a shallow dish. Pour the marinade over the ribs, ensuring they are well coated. Seal the bag or cover the dish and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight for best flavor.

  3. 3

    Preheat the Grill

Preheat your grill to medium heat, approximately 350°F (175°C).

  4. 4

    Grill the Ribs

Remove the ribs from the marinade (reserve the marinade) and place them on the grill. Grill for about 15-20 minutes on each side, basting occasionally with the reserved marinade, until the ribs are tender and caramelized.

  5. 5

    Serve

Once cooked, remove the ribs from the grill and let them rest for a few minutes. Cut between the bones and serve hot.

For the Asian Slaw

  1. 6

    Prepare the Vegetables

In a large bowl, combine the shredded cabbage, grated carrot, chopped green onions, and chopped cilantro.

  2. 7

    Make the Dressing

In a small bowl, whisk together rice vinegar, soy sauce, honey, sesame oil, and a pinch of salt and pepper until well combined.

  3. 8

    Toss the Slaw

Pour the dressing over the vegetable mixture and toss until the vegetables are evenly coated. Sprinkle sesame seeds on top for garnish.

  4. 9

    Chill and Serve

Let the slaw sit for about 15 minutes before serving to allow the flavors to meld. Serve alongside the grilled ribs.
