Method

Dough Preparation

  1. 1

    Activate Yeast

In a small bowl, combine warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for about 5-10 minutes until foamy.

  2. 2

    Mix Ingredients

In a large mixing bowl, combine flour and salt. Make a well in the center and add the activated yeast mixture and olive oil.

  3. 3

    Knead the Dough

Mix until a dough forms, then knead on a floured surface for about 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.

  4. 4

    Let Dough Rise

Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour, or until doubled in size.

Knot Formation

  1. 5

    Preheat Oven

Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).

  2. 6

    Divide and Shape

Once the dough has risen, punch it down and divide it into 10 equal pieces. Roll each piece into a rope, about 8 inches long, and tie into a knot.

  3. 7

    Place on Baking Sheet

Arrange the knots on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, leaving space between each knot.

Topping Preparation

  1. 8

    Prepare Garlic Butter

In a small saucepan, melt the butter over low heat. Add minced garlic and cook for 1-2 minutes until fragrant. Stir in chopped parsley.

  2. 9

    Brush Knots

Remove the knots from the oven and immediately brush them generously with the garlic butter mixture and sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese.

Baking

  1. 10

    Bake the Knots

Bake the garlic knots in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.

Serving

  1. 11

    Serve with Dipping Sauces

Serve the garlic knots warm with a side of marinara sauce and ranch dressing for dipping.
