Preparing the Steak
- 1
Marinate (Optional)
If you choose to marinate the steak, mix minced garlic, chopped rosemary, chopped thyme, and balsamic vinegar in a bowl. Rub this mixture over the ribeye steak and let it marinate in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours, or overnight for a more intense flavor.

Season the Steak
Remove the steak from the refrigerator. Pat it dry with paper towels. Generously season both sides of the ribeye with kosher salt and black pepper.
